Podcast — 3 design options
The listener-facing view. All three have episodes, chapters that jump to a timestamp, and a video ⇄ audio switch that never restarts playback. What changes is the approach, not the features.
Option 1
Studio
Dark and cinematic. Video leads: big player, controls over the picture, chapters pinned in a side rail. Feels premium, the way YouTube-first shows look.
Pick this if: video is the main product.
Option 2
Editorial
White and typographic, same as your admin and your site. Big headline masthead, a magazine-style episode list, and a mini player that docks at the bottom as you scroll.
Pick this if: it should feel part of the current site.
Option 3
App
Two columns, Spotify-style. Episode list always visible on the left, player docked at the bottom, chapters as a timeline that fills in as it plays.
Pick this if: people will listen to several episodes in a row.
Notes
- · The Video ⇄ Audio switch restarts nothing — it's the same player, the picture is just hidden and the cover art takes over. Try it mid-episode.
- · Chapters jump to the exact timestamp, and the one currently playing highlights itself.
- · The companies are real clients, but the guest names, episode titles and summaries are invented. Every guest name has to be replaced with the actual person — and their permission — before this goes live.
- · The sample video loads from the internet. Without a connection the player falls back to a simulated timeline, so everything still demos.
